The Gift of Wellness: Enter to Win a Spot in Christy Morgan’s Wellness Reboot Program

Hey all! Happy Saturday. I’m here today with an exciting giveaway—my last of 2012. Christy Morgan, known to many of you as The Blissful Chef, has created a new online wellness program—available globally—that is crafted to help people who are interested in plant based diet to reach health and fitness goals. I’ve been a longtime fan of Christy’s whomesome, vegan recipes (you can read my review of her terrific cookbook here), and her hands on, accessible cooking demos and videos. Christy has been working in the community for a long time, and she has vast culinary expertise to share.

Christy’s Wellness Reboot program reflects all of the great things Christy has learned in the culinary arts, and it is also a reflection over ten years of work in the health and wellness field. The program includes over 12 videos on cooking techniques, a 28-day meal plan of delicious whole food plant-based recipes, a “Getting Started Guide” that explains everything one would need to know about eating healthy and living a plant-based lifestyle, continual support from Christy and her partner, Chad, through a private Facebook group, and bi-weekly conference calls. Christy has partnered with Chad Byers of Beyond Fit, a vegan personal trainer, to include a fitness element in the program. A weekly workout is included in the wellness initiative, along with videos. A great resource for the many vegans or vegan-curious folks who wants to incorporate fitness habits that are specifically designed to fit a plant-based lifestyle.

One lucky winner of today’s giveaway will get to participate in the Wellness Reboot, which starts January 6th. It’s a $350 value, and includes incredible support and guidance from Christy and Chad. If you’re hoping to address common health or dietary pitfalls, feel enhanced well being through whole food choices, or learn more about the vegan lifestyle, this is a great opportunity. To enter, you can complete any one or all of the following actions. Please leave a separate comment for each action, in order for your multiple entries to count. I’ll be announcing the winner (I swear) on January 1.

1. Leave a comment, telling me why you want to win this giveaway
2. Like Wellness Reboot on Facebook
3. Tweet about the giveaway, with a link to this post
4. Follow @TheBlissfulChef on Twitter
5. Sign up for Christy’s newsletter (on her homepage)

Good luck, readers! I’ll see you tomorrow with a new recipe (at last).

xo

Wow, I would love something like this. I am in my first year of teaching high school English, while simultaneously starting in a graduate program for education, and I have gotten way off the healthy track! This, plus moving twice in less than 6 months, has caused me to really struggle with making time and having energy for healthy living. This kind of guidance and support would make a huge difference for me, and hopefully give me more energy to serve my students :)

Wow this sounds perfect for the New Year. I myself am trying (hard with some success) to learn how to feed my body without hating myself. I work out and try to eat right but often I fail miserably (which makes me think something I’m doing is wrong). It would be amazing to be given the opportunity to have a structured reboot with support like this. I feel like I would get a lot out of it and hopefully use it in the future.

This sounds like a fantastic program. I am sick and tired of hearing about “wellness” programs that incorporate negative language– I think we have all been exposed to those check-out line up magazines with captions like “blast away the fat!”, “killer but workout”, “burn away those problem areas”. The rhetoric of violence in the health and fitness industry and media really makes me angry. It is so nice to hear about a positive program that incorporates a philosophy of compassion and kindness. We should really be rejuvenating and healing our bodies this time of year, not beating them up!!
Thanks Gena. I will most certainly be signing up for the newsletter as well.

Over the last 6 years I have slowly lost weight through a healthy diet and a commitment to fitness. Almost 2 years ago I stopped eating meat save for the occasional seafood dish. In the past year have also decreased the amount of dairy I eat to the occasional yogurt, egg or piece of cheese. However, for the last six months or so I have been feeling a strong pull toward a more plant based diet.

This opportunity to take part in Christy’s program might be the nudge I need to overcome concerns I have about adopting a vegan lifestyle. Either way I look forward to reading more on her site. Thanks Gena.

I liked ‘Wellness Reboot’ on Facebook.

I feel I would benefit greatly through focused nutrition and fitness counseling.

I have a passion for plant-based nutrition and a commitment to daily exercise but lately, I have experienced depression and fallen out of routine. I have been turning to writing as a pep talk in getting myself back on track toward a healthy, happy lifestyle. In the past year and a half, I guess you could say I’ve fallen ‘out of love’ with myself, due in part to an on/off relationship with the man I deeply love and thought was the one and only. My inability to ‘”fix” and keep this broken man has, despite my gift of emotional intelligence, unfortunately resulted in some self-loathing and blaming inward.

I know I am better than all of that and my goal is to improve each day and return to a commitment to the most important relationship I will ever have in this life, the one I have with myself. Nothing shows more self-love than a humane and healthy diet and the gift of daily movement.

wow, this seems like an amazing program and i can’t start to give you reasons why i would love to win this giveaway. deciding to go back to school has made a whirl wind of my life. i love it trust me, but i am so busy sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day. one thing that has taken the back burner with me are my meals. half of them are on the go and by dinner time i am so tired my meals are quick and convenient.

one of my 2013 goals is to get back to living an OVERALL healthy life. that includes food, fitness and mental health. i have always enjoyed a plant based diet, so i think this would be amazing for me. there is something about whole natural foods that just make you feel better, mentally, physically and ethically.

this is just an amazing program, i would love to be a part of it!

I have never been particularly good at cooking wholesome, vegan meals, and because of that fact, most of what I eat takes less than 5 minutes to put together. It gets repetitive and old, so winning this giveaway would be a blessing to encourage me to finally learn how to make the most of my plant based diet!

I would love to take my health and fitness to a higher level. I thought I was eating a balanced vegan diet but recently was denied when I tried to donate blood because my iron levels were too low.

Like many others posted or in the real world I “TRY” to eat well. That is my intention, but often fall short. I go for the “quick” fix to pick something up on my way home. I stopped went vegetarian 2 years ago, initially I felt much better, but still fall into my old habits (easy to eat poorly and be a vegetarian). I have not be able to make the leap into vegan but would like to try to eat more vegan. I am a runner. Still have weight to lose and running goals. Plus I turn 50 in 2013. I really want this year to be the year that I like my body a bit more, feel good about what I put in it, reach some of my goals and feel good about me (a fit 50!).
I enjoy your posts and recipes. It is one of the websites I frequently routinely!

Now for the last comment/entry –
I would like to win this opportunity to participate in Christy’s program as I am beginning a 6-month challenge to myself. I am traveling to Italy and Greece next June and I want my focus to be on the amazing sights and sounds and people there, not on my aching knees or feeling embarrassed about my psoriasis. I have been vegan since 1989 and since I found your blog this year I have toyed with eating more raw-vegan foods. I felt better when I included a lot of raw foods this summer into my menus and my psoraisis improved, but despite those gains it’s hard to stay motivated by yourself, and it’s so easy to fall back into bad habits. I am challenging myself in the next 6 months to become healthier and I think the structure that Christy’s course would provide would help me tremendously.

Gena, thanks so much for your blog and recipes, it’s really been fun learning new ways of prepping food!
